Sandy Point is the home of a free primitive campground available for you to stay 2-3 nights.
If you are looking to go for a swim, put in a boat or throw in a line this is the spot to stop and camp. Take a walk around the all weather tracks that hug the Murrumbidgee and encompass the mighty river red gums. There is free BBQs and flush toilets with $2 showers at the Visitor Centre in Moppett ST.
This is a dog friendly camp accessible to all campers big and small.
There are two main entries to Sandy Point; one via Brunker St adjacent the Skate Park and another at the Western end in Water St.
