A town that prides itself on the best sporting facilities. If you are looking to play a little sport during your visit to Hay you will find all the information you require right here. 

Tennis - Lachlan Street Hay has ample access to synthetic courts. Hire is hourly with access either day or night. To have a game or enquire about hire contact Tony Callaghan 0419 571 292

Squash - Two squash courts are located in the Hay Services Club and Fitness Centre. Open during club hours. The cost is $2 for 30mins. Cheapest courts in Australia. 

Gym - The Hay Gym is fully equipped with the latest weights and machines. Located at the back of the Hay Services Club and Fitness Centre in Murray St. A fee of $10 per day for non-members is payable at the Bar in the club. Children under 16 must be accompanied by adults. Grass Bowls - You can have a roll any day of the week at the Hay Bowling and Golf Club. Social Bowls are played Saturday and Sunday call the club for further information 02 6993 1360

Golf - An 18hole sand green course surrounded by river red gums on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River this course is worth a game. For social golf you can head out anytime, there are green fees displayed on the clubhouse. Competition days are Saturday from 12noon. Ladies from 10am Sunday and for those 55yrs and older have a round with the Vets from 11am. For further information call the club 02 6993 1360

Netball courts -  Located at the Hay Park entry at Morgan St. Hay has 3 netball courts. Shoot some hoops any time during the day. 

Swimming - An Olympic size swimming pool has free access during the summer months. Two lanes are allocated for lap swimmers. Contact the Hay Shire Council for opening hours.

Regional Park Track

Located on the South of the Murrumbidgee River the Regional Park is accessed via Lang St. It is a dry weather road only with bush tracks throughout. The Regional Park Reserve is a great spot for bird watching or catching up with local wildlife.

Lions Park

Located at the end of Lachlan street near the bridge, the Lions Park has a large park area with Jungle Jim, public toilets and free BBQ with access to the river via Bushy Bend.
