In announcing the names of the newly-honoured inductees Sam Barnes Chairman of the Shear Outback Board said “The 2024 Inductees were selected from 36 nominations by an independent selection panel. These legends are famous in the world of shearing, and should be acknowledged for their outstanding contributions and achievements to the shearing industry.”

The formal Induction Ceremony on Saturday 5th will take place at a Formal Induction Dinner at the Hay Services Club where families, friends and associates of these inductees will be able to join with other shearing identities in honouring these five legends whose induction bring the number of shearers in the Australian Shearers Hall of Fame to fifty three (53).
The Shear Outback Board gives an open invitation to all those who are involved or associated in the shearing industry and its history, the world of sheep and wool, and the people who continue to work the sheds of Australia to come and celebrate the Induction of the five legends of 2024.
