Our river reserves

The perfect place to get away from it all

Visitors are welcome to camp on reserves, but are reminded that many of the reserves are adjacent to private property and to ensure they keep to areas marked as public land. Visitors camping on the river reserves must also abide to the following conditions:

  • Travelling stock are to have priority and right of way at all times.
  • All campers are to be responsible for the removal of their own rubbish.
  • All campers must adhere to fire ban periods.
  • The law prohibits no shooting or hunting on public land.
