Hay Jockey Club Races

Camels will be racing this year!

The Hay Spring Racing Carnival takes place in November and always promises to be bigger and better. The Hay Jockey Club Annual Races has grown in stature to being acknowledged as the "biggest day of the year in town".

For this year only due to the equine 'flu outbreak Hay will be racing Camels.

Whilst the Hay races are a professional meeting, the day has a very much "Picnic Races" atmosphere with numerous groups setting up picnic tables. There are full TAB facilities and Sky Channel available, an undercover betting ring, BBQ, bar facilities and a champagne bar. Bookings for marquees are very popular, for Christmas parties, birthdays, school reunions etc. Fashions of the Field are another highlight of the day, with a fantastic array of prizes to win for both female and male entrants.

Entertainment is provided after the races by Griffith band "LOW RIDER" 5pm til 10pm. After the races, Hay's hospitality is extended with local hotels providing entertainment also.
