2004 Lions Convention

Hear the roar of Lions converging on Hay in 2004

The Lions Club of Hay has won the right to host the Lions V6 District Convention for the year 2004 and have chosen the theme "Make Hay While the Sun Shines".

Lions V6 District covers an area bounded by Corryong, Wangaratta, Leitchville, Balranald, Hay, Lockhart and Albury. Lions and their partners and guests from the 56 clubs in this area will attend the Convention.

We will welcome approximately 350 Lions to Hay during the weekend of 15th to 17th October, 2004. The program for the weekend includes:

  • Friday – Afternoon: Civic reception and registration. Night: Welcome and official opening ceremony; and some entertainment.
  • Saturday – Key holders breakfast; business sessions; street parade; shopping/tour of the town for the partners of Lions and guests; lunch; and the Boots on the Bidgee Bush Dance to be held on Saturday night.
  • Sunday – Remembrance Service; final business session; closing ceremony; lunch; and a visit to Bishop's Lodge Fair.
