THE PARADE – that everyone is talking about!

Proudly raising funds for Hay CanAssist.

Hay Mardi Gras Festival will be held on March 3 and 4 in Hay, in the rural region of NSW. It is a family friendly

celebration of inclusion and acceptance and is scheduled to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the iconic

Sydney Mardi Gras.

This guide will be sent to everyone who purchases tickets online or enquires about the festival. Printed copies

will be distributed to regional tourism centres with our posters and provided to local businesses. It will

showcase the very best places to stay and dine to all the visitors to Hay over the weekend of March 2 to 4.

Cost is ONLY just $100 – with the potential to reach well over 100,000 people, we believe this great is value for

money - But HURRY! - Deadline for inclusion is January 24. Please note that this guide will be promoted until

December 2019.

PARADE: The festival will kick off with a street parade from 1pm on March 3, starting at Hay Lions Park. We are

taking applications for parade floats right now. Email haaaaaaymg@gmail.com for forms.

All business houses, sporting organisations, groups & more are welcome to enter in the parade. Our theme

‘Rainbow on the Plains’ is a guideline only. The cost is only $10 per entry, for up to 50 participants. You can

enter a float, drive your car, ride your bike or walk with friends. If you are wanting to be part of the parade but

are not part of a group/organisation let us know & we will find the perfect spot for you.

MAIN EVENT: From 6pm the main event - the HAAAAAAY! Mardi Gras Party will kick off at Hay Services Club,

with DJs, live performances, food court, cocktails and the Sydney parade screened live. Follow the link to

🎉 Haaaaaay! Mardi Gras line up is huge!🎉

🔸OF ASHES, direct from Melbourne. Adding colour to Melbourne’s musical landscape, Of Ashes formed in

2017 and are on their way to becoming Australia’s next heavy rock powerhouse.

Known currently for their acoustic cover videos which have already garnered over 9,000 views and received

radio airplay across the country, Of Ashes is getting set to take Australia’s live music scene by storm in 2018

with their unique and electrifying stage presence combined with their passionate song writing.

Comprised of Hay’s own Telle Anderson, Sam Berry, Julia Mammone and drummer Patrick Chaanin, the band’s

original music is a fresh take on the heavy rock genre which fuses soaring melodies with driven guitars, hard

hitting lyrics and a wide harmonic spectrum.

🔸DJ JOSH KIRKBY direct from Sydney. Josh is a popular Sydney DJ who is best known for his deep disco

tech house sets.

Since returning for Tokyo Josh has DJ’d at many iconic venues such as The Bank Hotel Newtown and the Oxford

Hotel in the Cross. He has appeared at the Fair Day festival and the Sydney Mardi Gras. Having appeared at

international events in New Zealand, Japan and Spain DJ Josh Kirkby will next hit the stage in Hay

🔸DJ Rhino appearing LIVE. Hay’s own premier DJ, Rhino is popular on the local scene, lighting up pubs and

clubs with his high energy mix of retro faves.

🔸Albury based drag troupe Dragology will appear at the upcoming Haaaaaay! Mardi Gras Party. Selma,

Danni D, Barbara, Yowana and Kandy will perform live on the main stage Saturday March 3.

SUNDAY: ACON will host a Rainbow Recovery Brunch at Sandy Point Beach.
