The village of Maude on the North bank of the Murrumbidgee River is just 50km west of Hay, located between Hay and Balranald.

It offers the Maude Hotel, famous for its hospitality along with a Caravan Park and general store.

A great place to stop off and have lunch or just rest on your way through. There are also some great camping and fishing sites along the river.  It is a popular spot for anglers looking for yellow belly and murray cod. Petrol, supplies and bait can be purchased from the Maude store.

A great way to experience the Australian bush is to travel through Maude and re-join the Sturt Highway to Balranald.
